Although Pokémon Legends: Arceus reinvents the wheel with cool Pokémon, it makes numerous references to previous games in the franchise. One character, however, stands out as a surprise to many. It begs the question: exactly who is Ingo in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
Ingo in Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Who is He?
If you’ve played Pokémon Black and White in the past, then you just felt a wave of nostalgia brush by. Ingo was one of the Subway Bosses in the Battle Subway. You could face off against him solo as well as battle him and his brother.
Since he did appear in a previous game, his appearance in the Hisui region is baffling. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Ingo is, unfortunately, wondering who he is and why he’s there too. Ingo may have time traveled, but unlike the protagonist, he has amnesia.
In this game, he’s a part of the Pearl Clan and serves as a Warden. You’ll be able to speak with him in full after you accept the Coronet Highlands research mission from Captain Cyllene. With his job as a Warden, he watches over a Sneasler that you’ll meet.
When you exit the Ancient Quarry, he’ll initially challenge you to a match. It’s only in the hopes that it’ll help jog his memory. After the battle, he’ll tell his Sneasler to help you climb the cliffs so that you can reach the Moonview Arena. Following this with Ingo, you’ll have the ability in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to summon Sneasler to help scale cliffs in the future.
As for Ingo, the poor guy doesn’t regain all of his memory, but he does get some of them back by the end in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. For instance, he remembers how humans and Pokémon do live together in the future. Meanwhile, you can eventually find him over at the Jubilife Villiage Training Grounds. He’ll be there to organize fights on your behalf.
