In version 4.1 of Genshin Impact, a new local specialty, Lumitoile, was added. Neuvillette was the first character that needed this material to level up. It is a starfish that looks crystallized and pink at the tips with a blue center, very like the Condessence Crystal. As with any other materials in the game, knowing how to get this new one fast is imperative. If you’re struggling to find the locations of Lumitiole in Genshin Impact, we have them here, along with the best farming route.
The Best Lumitoile Farming Route in Genshin Impact
As mentioned, you’ll find this material northwest of Fontaine, near the Fontaine Research Institute. This is the part of the map that was added in patch 4.1. The Lumitoile is a starfish found in wet areas or very close to water. So, a good place to start your search is along the coasts of Liffey Region and Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region. Thankfully, this material is easy to spot, so sticking to the shore is the easiest way to gather it. Yet, we have a more in-depth farming route for Lumitoile in Genshin Impact in the below image.
Lumitoile Surface Locations in Genshin Impact
As you can see, farming the material isn’t challenging if you follow the above image; however, we’ve also broken down the route you must follow to get to the locations of Lumitoile in Genshin Impact. Here are the steps:
- Use the Statue of the Seven closest to the Liffey Region. Cross the ruined bridge and walk along that coast to the south to find 6 Lumitoile.
- Teleport to the westernmost island of the Liffey Region.
- You can find up to 4 Lumitoile if you walk north along the coast.
- If you go south, you will find 4 more Lumitoile. One on the coast and 3 more on the islands.
- There will be 2 more Lumitoile if you continue along the south coast to the west towards the waterfall. The last one is on a mini island.
- Then, you can use the teleport waypoint as far northwest as the main island of Fontaine Research Institute.
- Starting from the ruins, there will be 10 Lumitoile. One is on the island in the bay, and the other is just entering the water.
- Follow the coast to the southeast pier. There will be up to 8 Lumitoile. You will also find 2 more Lumitoile if you continue along the coast almost to the base of the New Fontaine Research Institute mountain.
- The last 5 Lumitoile will be found using one of the waypoints further east, near the Institute of Kinetic Energy. South of the river, you will find only one, and on the opposite side, there are 4 more.

Lumitoile Underwater Locations in Genshin Impact
The Lumitoile that are located underwater are more concentrated in one area, so they will be technically easier to find. Teleport to the westernmost island of the Liffey Region and dive into the water. Between all the underwater waypoints in the Liffey Region and the Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region, there will be up to 24 Lumitoile.
The tricky part is that there are 12 more Lumitoile, but these are in the subway caverns. To get to them, you must go to the ruins northwest of the main island of Fontaine Research Institute. There, you will see a path to the north that seemingly leads to nowhere, but it is the entrance of a cave. When you enter the cave, you must activate a mechanism to use the elevator and follow the whole path. But be careful because, in this area, a mission will activate.

And that’s everything you need to know regarding the locations and farming routes for Lumitoile in Genshin Impact. While many players don’t make a habit of farming flowers or other materials in the game, we recommend they start doing it. You never know when your new favorite character will show up, and having extra reagents is always great.
