Publisher Pixel United and developer Plarium have announced Raid: Call of the Arbiter, a ten episode animated miniseries based on the popular mobile game, Raid Shadow Legends.
It will air exclusivity on YouTube on May 18, 2023.
What To Know About Raid: Call of the Arbiter
Raid: Call of the Arbiter is a new ten episodes animated series based on Raid Shadow Legends. The fantasy action-RPG has over 50 million downloads and counting.
Each episode of the series will be about five minutes each, amounting to about 50 minutes of content in total, and will premiere once per week starting from May 18, 2023 and onward.
Pixel United and Plarium aim to release the series as a means to elevate the game’s core characters and plot and immersive both existing players as well as casual fans into its lore and world.
“We want to establish Raid as a bankable evergreen IP, with enough strength to do more, all while appealing to our core fans and capturing interest from a broader audience,” said Nicholas Day, Plarium vice president creative and executive producer of the series, in an official statement.
Raid: Call of the Arbiter will also be produced by Rollman Entertainment CEO and former president of Marvel Television Eric Rollman, with Lex + Otis CEO Jay Oliva penned as a show runner and composer Jesper Kyd handling he series’ music.
Kid is perhaps most popular for his work in the Assassin’s Creed franchise by Ubisoft as well as Bordlands, particularly Borderlands 3.
The official synopsis for Raid: Call of the Arbiter reads:
An ancient guardian seeks to summon a band of unlikely champions to return her to their world. They will be challenged to set aside grievances, join forces, and light a spark that will cast down the darkness. The Arbiter calls. Will they answer?
