Before starting the Storytelling Method world quest, you need to complete a few daily commissions in Genshin Impact. You can unlock this world quest simply by completing all daily commissions related to the-novel writing.

Here are the daily commissions you’ll need to complete:

  • Is This Novel Amazing?
  • This Novel Seems…Problematic?
  • This Novel Seems…Familiar?

To start the “Is This Novel Amazing?” commission, find two NPCs named Shigeru and Junkichi in Inazuma City. While talking to Junkichi, he will ask you to choose one of the two options. To unlock the Storytelling Method world quest, you must select the latter, namely, “Actually, Shigeru sounds more reasonable…”. This will lead you to the “This Novel Seems…Familiar?” daily commission.

After siding with Shigeru, complete the talk and follow the instructions. Next, Junkichi will ask you to pick up three novels from Yae Publishing House. With the three books in hand, return to the two men arguing. If you hand over Literature Club to Junkichi instead of the other two books, you unlock the Storytelling Method in Genshin Impact.

Now that you’ve finally unlocked the Storytelling Method world quest, you can complete it in just a few steps. In this quest, Junkichi will ask you to be the main character for a while and experience the story firsthand. You will go to a fortress and act as a Ninja there. Follow Junkichi’s instructions to find exactly where he wants you to go. You may have to deal with a few guards and be sneaky.

Once you defeat all the enemies, take the elevator to the top floor and look around the trees to the right of the big area. You’ll see a bright light coming behind the tree; collect the intel there, and you’re good to go. You will complete the Storytelling Method quest when you return and talk to Junkichi. This quest will unlock the ‘Well, At Least It Ended’ and “‘Editorial Opinion” achievements and earn you Hero’s Wit x6.
