While hunting monsters in the adventure-filled world of Monster Hunter Now, remember that things may not always go smoothly. That’s why you must be prepared for anything, be fast and think strategically. However, there may be times when you’re unavailable, have other things attended to, or it’s simply not convenient to spend time on your mobile phone. That’s not an issue, as you won’t miss out on hunting monsters, thanks to Paintballs. In this guide, you’ll find all the information on how to get and use Paintballs in Monster Hunter Now.
Getting and Using Paintballs in Monster Hunter Now
Paintballs are one of the most valuable items in Monster Hunter Now and are used to mark enemies. The most significant advantage of these is that they prevent you from losing your prey when you are unable to use the phone. You can hunt them down later when you are available.
Two types of Paintballs are used for marking; each has a specific purpose: Blue and Pink. The first one is Palico’s Paintballs. This allows your Palico to automatically use Palico Paintballs to mark enemies if the requirements are met, such as Adventure Sync enabled. Moreover, our cat can do this marking while the app is running and when the app is closed.
Another type of this item is pink, which is used in manual marking. It is easy to use; folks can mark monsters in a few steps. These steps are explained as follows.
- Click on a monster in the field.
- Click the “Use Paintball” on the Hunt Prep Screen.
- Click on “Use” to begin, and the magic happens.
The number of monsters that can be marked with Paintballs in the game is limited to 8. Once you exceed this limit, you can no longer mark enemies or use your remaining rights. Also, you cannot purchase the blue one anywhere. Unfortunately, Paintballs like this cannot be purchased at will. You are given three Palico Paintballs per day, which do not carry over to the next day if not used. You can get the standard pink balls as a reward by exchanging Jewels in the Shop or when you increase your Hunter Rank.
